Fresh Start

This is the start of my new blog for my A2 project!

I have chosen to do this task alone as this way i only have myself to depend on to compleate the work and all set tasks. i have chosen to do a music video for this task as i think that it is the choice which interests me most from the choices of film trailers or music videos. i have been studdying all different types of music and genere's of music which are relevant to my piece and i have also been looking allot into the different music video's and the  way in which they are put together to get ideas for when it comes to filming my own music video.


I am studying a band called called 'The Castells' and their music has a modern yet old feel to it. I have chosen this band to study and learn about as i believe their music is origional and i could create a realy unique piece to go with the music.

I have asked all members of the band if it would be of for me to use their music in my media project and they were more than happy to take part. I have been listening to their songs for years now and they have only recently started being recorded and playing for radio one and things. I have been looking specifically at their songs and wondering which ones would be easy or interesting to make a music video for, the main ones that have stuck out at me were 'The Youth' and ' romance' .


The Youth
Somehow i get a 70's feel from this individual piece of music and it sort of has feelings of Johnny Cash and The Beatles. With the words ' the youth the youth the revolution' and 'phsycadelic minds' used within the song this gave me the ideas of shooting in the summer in the sun with a 'hippy feel' to the music video.


Romance
This piece of music gave me the idea of using a love story between the girl and a member of the band. Or a girl with an obsession for the band itself and showing how infatuated she is witihin the music and the people involved within it.
